FIBES RECEIVES MORE THAN 10,000 VISITORS IN THE Ist EDITION OF SURMUEBLE, FURNITURE MANUFACTURERS’ PROFESSIONAL HALL OF THE SOUTH
Last Saturday 21st January 2017, Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre, FIBES, closed the Ist Edition of Surmueble, Furniture Manufacturers’ Professional Hall of the South, which started on 18th January.
This Hall was born from MOBILIARIA, FIBES historic trade fair which was the great professional event and meeting point for manufacturers and buyers of the Furniture Sector of the Andalusian Community for more than 20 years.
SURMUEBLE has taken the helm with its amazing debut with more than 10,000 professional visitors of the Furniture sector in these four days.
This trade fair has been created to become the reference for the Andalusian industry of furniture, bedding, decoration and related sectors. To that aim, FIBES had high-level partners such as the Official College of Commercial Agents of Seville and province, EXTENDA (Andalusian Agency for Foreign Trade Promotion of Junta de Andalucía) and ANIEME (Spanish National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters). Besides, the towns of Pilas and Écija in the province of Seville and Villa del Río and Lucena in Cordova threw themselves into supporting the event with the presence of several companies in the exhibition area.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Gaspar Llanes, General Secretary of the Economy Department of Junta de Andalucía and President of Extenda (Andalusian Agency for Foreign Trade Promotion of Junta de Andalucía), along with Carmen Castreño, Delegate of Economy, Commerce and Institutional Relations of Seville City Council, has occupied more than 14,000 m² in FIBES pavilions 1 and 2 and has received more than 80 exhibitors representing different sectors such as general furniture, children’s furniture, kitchen and bathroom furniture, garden furniture, upholstery, textile, professional associations, lighting, decoration, bedding and specialised press. 70% of exhibitors came from the Andalusian Community and the rest from Valencia, Murcia, etc.
SURMUEBLE was rounded off with a Technical Conference organised by EXTENDA, added to an efficient successful Visiting Trade Mission with foreign buyers from Kazakhstan, Algeria, Morocco, Dubai, Belgium, The UK, French, Russia, Mexico, Chile and Panama who have generated extensive synergies and commercial relations with Andalusian manufacturers.
The organisers of this professional biennial trade fair are arranging the 2019 edition with enthusiasm, in view of its favourable reception and high acceptance of this year.
